Abdominal color ultrasound is mainly used to examine the lesions of abdominal organs.

Abdominal color ultrasound is a common noninvasive examination method in clinic. It can check whether the size, shape and position of abdominal organs such as liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, double kidneys, bladder, prostate, adrenal gland, ovary, uterus and so on are normal, and whether they compress the surrounding tissues or are oppressed by the surrounding tissues and organs. For abdominal organs or intraperitoneal masses, abdominal ultrasound can also accurately judge the location of the mass based on its relationship with surrounding organs, accurately distinguish whether the mass is solid or liquid containing cystic structure, as well as hematoma and abscess, and can also be used to distinguish the benign and malignant tumors.

Abdominal ultrasound can sensitively and accurately diagnose gallbladder calculi, kidney calculi, ureteral calculi, appendicitis, etc., which is very useful for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of acute abdomen. For clinically common ascites, abdominal ultrasound can accurately determine whether there is ascites, and a small amount of ascites can also be measured by ultrasound.
